Northernair Lodge is located on pristine Mitchell Lake, offering guests exclusive access to a quiet, private retreat with fantastic fishing. Our beautiful, uniquely designed cabins—most of which are lakefront—feature modern amenities, private docks, fire pits, and stunning views. Nestled among the trees and well-spaced for privacy, they provide the perfect setting for relaxation. Whether you're drawn to the peaceful atmosphere, the sandy beach, or the incredible fishing, Northernair is a place that keeps guests coming back year after year.
Complementary Wi-Fi internet access is available in all cabins as well as the main lodge.

Activities at Northernair
Fishing
Mitchell Lake is teeming with walleye, northern pike, and panfish—ideal for both seasoned anglers and first-timers. Cast your line from your private dock or head out on the water for a full day of adventure.
Beach
Our sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing, building sandcastles, or just relaxing by the water with a good book. It’s a favorite hangout for families and a peaceful spot to watch the sunset.
Sauna
Enjoy a rejuvenating session in our lakeside sauna—warm up after a swim, or simply relax and unwind after a day outdoors. It’s a quiet, cozy escape nestled right by the water.
Lodge
The main lodge is your home away from home, offering books, games, local information, and cozy places to gather. Whether you're planning your next hike or playing a board game with the kids, it's a great place to connect.
Hiking Trails
Step right into the wilderness with easy access to scenic trails in the Superior National Forest. From short, family-friendly walks to longer adventures, there’s a trail for everyone.
Fat Tire Bikes
Explore the resort and nearby paths on our fat tire bikes. These are perfect for all terrains and all seasons, whether you're cruising dirt roads or packed snow trails.
Boat Rentals
14′ Aluminum fishing boats without motors are available for $80 per week or $20 per day.
14′ Aluminum fishing boats with 10hp motors are available for $375 per week or $75 per day.
16′ Deluxe Fishing Boat available for $650 per week or $130 per day.
Pontoon available for $800 per week or $160 per day.
1 canoe and 2 kayaks are available at our beach on a first-come, first-serve basis (free of charge).
