Welcome to Northernair Lodge located in the heart of Superior National Forest, and just 4 miles from downtown Ely. Our yearly season begins in Mid-May and closes in early October.

Northernair is the only resort on beautiful Mitchell Lake, which gives us the luxury of a very private lake. We have the only boat launch on the lake, which we restrict to our guests only. There is no public access to Mitchell Lake.

Many people return to Northernair year after year because of the peace and quiet it guarantees. Others return for the fabulous fishing and the wonderful sandy beach that the kids enjoy. Some say it is like taking a step back in time to when life was simpler. Whatever the reason, Northernair Lodge is a special place that will lure you back year after year.
